Elizabeth is a single mother.
She divorced her husband in 2000 due to him physically abusing her when he got drunk.
Since she got divorced, her husband never supported the family.
Elizabeth’s first 2 children live away from home so she now lives with her youngest 3 children.
Her children go to primary school, but she struggles to pay the school fees.
Elizabeth gets some food from her farm but the family eats only in the evenings.
They live in a 2 room house with a kitchen, however this offers little protection and they have to use a well for water and tin lamps for light.
