Mercy is a married mother, whose husband earns a little money from working on a farm. However he doesn’t bring any of his wages back to the family but uses it all to supply his drinking habit. Moreover, Mercy suffers from domestic violence from her husband when he is drunk. Their children go to school, but Mercy struggles to pay the school fees. She produces potatoes only on their farm and the family eats in the evenings.
